Larry signs divorce papers on condition Anna has sex one last time but as a result they get back together. Alice meanwhile has been sleeping with Larry. The relationships shown here are partly about what men want and what women want but the discussion encompasses so much more. Then Dan tells Alice that though he plag loves her, he’s leaving her for Anna and that Anna is leaving Larry for him. If I had had time, I would have been involved. All it amounts to is unrealistically well-spoken characters standing around in their metal-cage world making points just by saying them.
I thought the 4 character play Closer was going to be more than it is – a slight comedic study of how two couples play games but never are intimate with each other, but not so. Later, Anna and Larry meet again, only to reveal that they patdick broken cloesr once again and Larry is dating a young nurse named Polly. You involve yourself in it; that’s how you become culpable in it. Everything about him was close and quiet, his gestures were short and cleared with no wasted movement.
